Our Hocking Hills Cabins:
The Patriot Cabin

History echoes in the walls of The Patriot Cabin. This 18th century log cabin is believed to be the first home built in Hocking County - the home of Old Man's Cave and the unique Hocking Hills. In 1798, Revolutionary War soldier, Christian Westenhaver traveled from Maryland to Ohio’s Hocking Valley to forge a new life. He was awarded a land grant in return for his service to our new nation.

Experience the romance of a long gone era while enjoying the modern amenities offered by this beautifully restored piece of Americana. Surrounded by 9 private acres and adjacent to the Buckeye Trail, the simple charm of The Patriot Cabin will captivate historians, hikers, and romantics. Book this cabin today!
